British brand Oyster Yachts has confirmed that its next live World Rally webinar will feature a passage sail across the Coral Sea Vanuatu to Mackay and the East Coast of Australia, beginning Thursday 20 May 7:00pm BST (4:00am AEST).
The digital presentation will include a live Q&A session with former rally participants as well as outlining the expected weather conditions and reef navigations as the webinar fleet sails the roughly 1,900-kilometre long stretch between Vanuatu and the Queensland city.
From Mackay, where an Oyster support team will be based, the fleet will travel north, highlighting the Whitsundays, Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef before reaching Darwin for vessel checks and technical support.
Previous Oyster World Rally webinars, done in preparation of the upcoming 2022–2023 Oyster World Rally, include Panama Canal, the Galapagos Islands, French Polynesia, Tonga, Fiji and Vanuatu.

“Our destination focused seminars are extremely popular with those taking part in the rally, and are also open to anybody dreaming of doing a circumnavigation, or who just wants to escape for a short time and learn more about these amazing destinations,” said Oyster Yachts’ Head of Group Events Allie Smith.
The 2022–2023 Oyster World Rally will begin January 2022 and is already fully subscribed with 30 vessels confirmed to take part.
